Generating a CSR with Cobalt RaQ4/XTR
Activate SSL for the virtual site
- Go to Server Management
- Click the green icon next to the virtual site which will use the SSL certificate. The Site Management window will show up.
- Click “Site Settings” on the left side. ( 'General' for XTR)
- Click/select “Enable SSL”.
- Click “Save Changes”.
Generate a self-signed certificate, private key and CSR
Now you have to create a self-signed certificate, private key and CSR. The self-signed certificate will be replaced by the signed certificate later.
- Go to Server Management
- Click the green icon next tot the virtual site for which you enabled SSL.
- Click “SSL Settings” on the left side.
- The “Certificate Subject Information” will appear.
- Enter the following information:
- Country - the 2-letter land code like NL or BE
- State - name of the state or province you are located
- Locality - name of the city you are located
- Organization - the name of your organization
- Organizational Unit - optional a department or division of your organization
- Select “Generate self-signed certificate” from the pull-down menu.
- Click “Save Changes”.

Copy the entire content of the Certificate Request (CSR):
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
encrypted data
-----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
and paste the entire content in the enrollment form at Networking4all and submit it with your SSL certificate order.
