Uploading files with LeapFTP.

Interface

After you started the program () go to the Site Manager of the program.

Here you see the following screen:



Click on Add Site and give a name (for example your web site). This name is shown left in the list.

See the example:




Now you have to complete the following information:

IP Address: ftp.networking4all.com

Then enter the username and password (click Save Password to save it in the program).

Make sure the port is 21 (default port for FTP).



Click Connect to connect with your site.



Below you see you have a connection with your own web site. You can now double click on your own web site name, in this example www.voorbeeldsite.nl.



You will then see the following directories:




Now you can transfer files from your computer to your own web site by dragging it.

The left side of the screen is your own hard drive, the right screen of the page your web server.



After dragging the files and/or directories, your website is online.

Note: Our servers run on Linux, here are uppercase and lowercase letters different. Windows makes no distinction. If you use uppercase and lowercase letters for the files on your computer, it might be possible that your page on the Internet does not work. Check this and try to always use lowercase letters for your files.
