MX records
MX records consist of 2 parts:
a number to indicate the preference and a name of a mail server.
The lower the preference the higher the priority.
In the screenshot below the mail will be first deliverd at mx1.networking4all.com and next at mx2.networking4all.com.

MX-records should in principle NOT refer to a CNAME. It is recommended to point it to an A-record or to a direct external hostname, even if this server is only accessible through IPv6. It is important to end the hostname with a . (dot), otherwise the hostname will be repeated like: "networking4all.com.networking4all.com"
