Server Gated Cryptography (SGC)
SSL certificates with SGC support ensure a minimum encryption of 128-bit even if the browser only supports 40- or 56-bit encryption (which is the case with some older browser versions).
Although almost all browsers support 128-bit, SGC extends the security for users with older browsers. You have the choice to exclude these visitors with older browsers from your website or to offer them a safe connection through a SSL certificate with SGC support.
