Check certificate installation

Extended Validation (EV)

One of the qualities of an Extended Validation SSL Certificate is the green coloring of the address bar in the browser. The green color indicates the validation and authentication of the website owner according to the very strict Extended Validation guidelines.

Besides the green color, the address bar of the Internet Explorer 7 browser, shows the name of the validated party and the name of the Certificate Authority (CA) who performed the validation. This reassures visitors the website they are visiting is secure and trustworthy. See the difference by the sample images below.

Advantage

  • Very clear indication of a secure connection.

Disadvantage

  • Issuing EV SSL certificates is more time consuming compared to other certificates.

Do you want the green address bar in the browser when visitors enter your secured website?
