What is hosting?

Hosting is necessary to make your website visible on the internet. Networking4all provides several hosting packages, i.e. certain amounts of space on a web server with internet connectivity, which you can rent for a certain period.

Can I switch to another hosting package?

If it turns out that your hosting package no longer fulfils your needs,it is possible to switch to another package. Upgrading will be pro-rated, for downgrading there is no refund.

How long is the term of my hosting contract?

All hosting services have a one year contract which will automatically renew from year to year thereafter, unless agreed otherwise. Cancellation only in writing 6 weeks prior to the end date of the hosting contract.

I received my hosting account information — what is next?

Use the account information to make a FTP connection to the server to upload your website. A free FTP program is called Filezilla. For more information about the FTP configuration, click here.

What is meant by data traffic?

Data traffic, data transfer and sometimes called bandwidth, refers to the amount of data that is send to and form your website. When visitors browse your website they are technically retrieving files from the server, they are transferring data.

Each hosting package has a corresponding data traffic limit per month. The data traffic is monitored and can be viewed from your website statistics. If you exceed your quota you will always get a warning first and you will have the possibility to upgrade your package.

Only when you exceed your quota on a structural basis we will invoice you for excess traffic.
