For transferring a domain name (changing registrars) different procedures are involved, depending on your domain name extension (TLD).

Broadly speaking there are always three steps involved:

1. Inform your current provider of your transfer to Networking4all. Remember, if applicable, to cancel your hosting with your current provider and to make a local backup of your website.
2. If you have a website and want to transfer it towards Networking4all as well, tell us in de order process which hosting package you wish to order.
3. Place a request for transferring a domain name at Networking4all. Do this by entering your domain name (without www) in the check box, followed by clicking the 'order now' button. You will then automatically be guided through the transfer process.

To transfer your domain name to Networking4all please see the procedures below. We have collected the procedures for the most common TLDs. Transferring .nl domain names to Networking4all

Since March 17, 2010 you need to ask your current registrar for a token (authorization code) to transfer your .nl domain name. You have to give this token to Networking4all, and then we will declare the transfer to SIDN.

Till then, to transfer your .nl domain name you have to complete and sign the transfer forms according to the SIDN (Dutch Domain Registry) regulations. You will receive these forms automatically when you request to transfer your domain name via our website.

Transferring .com, .net, .org, .biz and .info domain names to Networking4all

The extensions .com, .net, .org, .biz and .info domain names are normally locked for transfers. You have to contact your old registrar to unlock your domain name and to give you the AUTH password. You need this AUTH password to transfer your domain name to Networking4all. To initiate the transfer we will send a request to the e-mail account of the Administrative contact of your domain name, to be found in the WHOIS data. The Administrative contact has to reply to this e-mail within 5 days otherwise the transfer will be cancelled. In case this might happen, please start again by requesting a new transfer.

Transferring .be domain names to Networking4all

In the case of .be domain names, we speak of a trade in stead of a transfer. The advantage of the trade procedure is the possibility to also change or update the details of the domain holder. After your request to transfer your domain, you will receive two e-mails, one is addressed to the current holder and one to the new holder of the domain (for a normal transfer this is the same person). You have to reply to the e-mail by clicking on the confirmation link in the e-mail message, by which you confirm and agree with the transfer. You have 8 days to confirm the transfer, after that it still possible to send a fax to confirm the transfer. In case no fax is received within 7 days, the transfer will be cancelled. 

Transferring .eu domain names to Networking4all

In the case of .eu domain names, we speak of a trade in stead of a transfer. The advantage of the trade procedure is the possibility to also change or update the details of the domain holder. Transferring .de domain names to Networking4all

To transfer your .de domain name, please follow the steps below:

1. Inform your old registrar that you want to transfer your .de domain name to Networking4all
2. Fill out the transfer form at Networking4all and we will request a 'provider-change'  with the German registry DENIC.de
3. DENIC will verify this request and send it to the old registrar
4. The old registrar checks the information and will agree with the ACK
5. As soon as the ACK is processed, the old and new registrar will be notified
6. Check the status of your domain name in the Control Panel of your account

In case the old registrar does not confirm the 'provider-change', DENIC will send a reminder after 3 work days. If the old registrar still does not confirm DENIC will interpret this silence as a confirmation and will proceed with the 'provider-change'.

Transferring .co.uk domain names to Networking4all

To transfer your .co.uk domain name, you first fill out the transfer form at Networking4all. Next step is to contact your old registrar to adjust your domain name tag to NETWORK4ALL-NL. This way Networking4all gets control over your domain name and you will be able to manage your domain through our Control Panel.

Transferring .nu domain names to Networking4all

To transfer your .nu domain name to Networkding4all you have to complete and sign the transfer forms. Go to our .nu information page to download the transfer documents, after completion send it back to Networking4all. We will submit the transfer to the .nu registry. There is a standard waiting period of 5 days. If the old registrar has no objections, your domain name will be transferred after these 5 days.
