Proof of a company registration or trademark is required to register.

The domain name applied for should at least be two characters long.
Although there is not a practical upper limit about the length of domain
names, it is recommended that the length should allow easy reading and
typing. As capital or small letters do not matter in domain names, only
small English letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and quotation marks (“-“) can be
used.

Turkey has accepted the “second level sub-domain name model” in accordance with the decision made by TURIN (Turkish Universities and Research Institutes Network) in 1990.

A ticket number is assigned for each domainname. After every domainname, a maximum of fifteen days is allowed for the required documents to be submitted. Upon completion of the documents, the domain name is allotted within at most two days. If there is uncertainty about the allotment of the domain name in question in spite of the fact that the documents are complete, the subject is transferred to the agenda of the DNS Working Group to be finalized.

The sub-domain names “.com.tr”, “.info.tr” and “.biz.tr”, it is aimed the classification of real and legal persons who are basically involved in commercial activities on the internet.

* For name-surname.com.tr applications, a copy of identification certificate is required.

* For the applications made by the legal entities and organisations; the official documents required must certify that the domain name you apply for is your registered trademark or corporate name. One official document that appropriate for the application, which may be "Commercial Registration Certificate", "Trademark Registration Certificate" etc., is sufficient to register a ".tr" domain. (must be in English or Turkish)

No document requested at any stage of the registration for .gen.tr, .name.tr, .tel .tr en .web.tr sub-domain names.
