Domain name applicants, which may only be Chinese citizens, have to own a company (, enterprise or organization) or must be authorized by the company to register the domain name for the company. Individuals are not allowed to register without a company. For an application it's necessary that the certain company is located in China or has bussiness in China.

To complete the application the applicant need to send a few documents to Networking4all, which are a photocopy of the applicant his ID, a prove that the company exists.

All registered domain names must not contain following content:
- Those that are against the basic principles prescribed in the Constitution;
- Those jeopardize national security, leak state secrets, intend to overturn the government, or disrupt of state integrity;
- Those harm national honor and national interests;
- Those instigate hostility or discrimination between different nationalities, or disrupt the national solidarity;
- Those violate the state religion policies or propagate cult and feudal superstition;
- Those spread rumors, disturb public order or disrupt social stability;
- Those spread pornography, obscenity, gambling, violence, homicide, terror or instigate crimes;
- Those insult, libel against others and infringe other people's legal rights and interests; or
- Other contents prohibited in laws, rules and administrative regulations.

- contain letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (-), or a combination of these.

- contain IDN supported characters.

- start and end with an alphanumeric character, not a dash.

- do not contain a dash on the 3rd and 4th position (tagged domains).

If you want to move your .cn domain to Networking4all, you should contact your current registrar and request to send the Domain Authorization Code (also referred to as a authcode, Authinfo code or transfer code). This code is assigned by the registrar. Authorization Codes are the password for the domain and serve as an additional safety measure. The verification codes ensure that only the domain name owner can relocate the domain.

Note 1: A domain cannot be transferred if it is within the first sixty days of registration or within fifteen days of the expiration date.

Note 2: A transfer of a domain is only possible in the event that the total unexpired term of the registration does not exceed five years.
