.aero domains can be registered exclusively by companies in the aviation industry only. SITA ID and password are required to register the domain. If you don't have a SITA ID and password, please contact Networking4all for the link to request one.

The Registrant must be an operator of an airport or airfield with the corresponding location designator allocated by IATA or ICAO.

For the domain name itself are some conditions too. So isn't it possible to register certain domain names:
Country names and names of geographical areas: names, corresponding to country codes, country names and geographical areas cannot be registered.

- contain only letters (a-z), numbers (0-9) and hyphens (-), or a combination of these

- start and end with an alphanumeric character, not a dash.

- do not contain a dash on the 3rd and 4th position (tagged domains).

- in the case of an allocated sub-domain (i.e. domain name on the 3rd level or higher) should be at least 2 characters and no more than 63 characters long e.g. CC.CAA.AERO

.aero (aeroplane) is the first sTLD based on a single industry, and is reserved for aviation-related businesses. It was created in 2002 and is operated by SITA. There is also a Dot Aero Council created and controlled by SITA, which SITA supposedly consults on .aero policies.

The .aero domain is reserved for companies, organizations, associations, government agencies, and individuals in aviation and related industries.

Currently, two-letter codes under .aero are reserved for airlines according to the IATA Airline Designators, while three-letter codes are reserved for airports, according to the IATA airport codes.

For registration of an .aero you must first get an Aviation Community Membership ID (.aero ID). If the eligibility requirements are met, your .aero ID will be issued by SITA and sent to you within 2 working days. Using this ID, you may then finalize the order of your .aero domain name by Networking4all B.V.

If you want to move your .aero domain to Networking4all, you should contact your current registrar and request to send the Domain Authorization Code (also referred to as a authcode, Authinfo code or transfer code). This code is assigned by the registrar. Authorization Codes are the password for the domain and serve as an additional safety measure. The verification codes ensure that only the domain name owner can relocate the domain.

A transfer (in which the domain is transferred to another person) is only possible if both persons meet the needs of the Domain Management Policy.
